Are you ready to trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
STEP 1: RECOGNIZE THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND HAS A PLAN FOR YOU.
HIS LOVE INCLUDES YOU
"For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 (CSB)
HE HAS NEW LIFE FOR YOU
"A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance." John 10:10 (CSB)
STEP 2: RECOGNIZE THAT SIN SEPARATES YOU FROM GOD AND OTHERS.
SIN is walking our own way in rebellion against God's will. When we walk away from God, we walk away from true life.
EVERYONE HAS SINNED
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 (CSB)
SIN BRINGS DEATH
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 (CSB)
As sinners, we unsuccessfully try to find life's true meaning in the wrong ways and places.
OUR OWN EFFORTS CANNOT SAVE US
" For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 (CSB)
STEP 3: RECOGNIZE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED AND ROSE AGAIN FOR YOUR SINS.
HE DIED IN OUR PLACE
"But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8 (CSB)
JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY TO NEW LIFE
" Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 (CSB)
HE GIVES INNER PEACE
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 (CSB)
HE GIVES FREEDOM
"So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free." John 8:36 (CSB)
HE GIVES ETERNAL LIFE
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 (CSB)
STEP 4: YOU MUST REPENT FOR YOUR SINS AND ASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS
"The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy." Proverbs 28:13 (CSB)
REPENT MEANS:
- Acknowledging that your sins are hurtful to you and those around you
- Recognizing that your sins are rebellion against God
- Denouncing your sins
ASKING GOD’S FORGIVENESS MEANS:
- Admitting your sins to yourself and to God
- Recognizing God’s ability and willingness to forgive your sins
- Renouncing and turning away from your sins
FORGIVENESS IS PROMISED
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (CSB)
STEP 5: PLACE YOUR TRUST IN JESUS AND RECEIVE HIM AS YOUR SAVIOR AND LORD
CHRIST IS READY
"See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20 (CSB)
RECEIVE HIM NOW
"But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name" John 1:12 (CSB)
WHAT TO PRAY
Lord Jesus, I want to have life. I know I have sinned and messed up. I need Your forgiveness and pardon. I believe that You died and came back to life again for my sins. I now accept You as my personal Savior. I will turn away from my sinful life. I know that Your grace and power will enable me to live for You. Thank You, Jesus, for being in relationship with me and for giving me new life.
